The amount of the payment security deposited in the Afilias bank account will determine the amount of registrations that can be processed for a Registrar — a credit limit, if you will.
As each successful registration is processed, the credit limit is reduced. At the end of the month, an invoice is mailed to the Registrar for the prior month's processing. Payment of the invoice replenishes the credit limit.
In the Registrar Financial Information Form, each Registrar establishes a Notification Threshold percentage. Once that threshold is reached, an email will be sent to your billing contact notifying them that the account balance has gone below the threshold and that additional payment security will be required. In this instance you will not receive an statement. However, the month-end statement would reflect any interim payment security received.
Should the Registry–Registrar agreement be terminated, the unused payment security will be refunded 60 days after the termination of the agreement.
No minimum registration commitments are required by Registrars in order to be an Afilias–authorized registrar for .INFO.
Registrar's account will be credited with appropriate funds once the funds have been received and confirmed by Afilias' bank.
No, a registrar may not send proof of the wire transfer directly, however the registrar's bank may fax a confirmation to +353.1.633.5480 or +353.1.431.0557. Credits will only be posted to the registrar's account when a confirmation is received from Afilias' bank.
Yes. Once a Registrar has established its payment security using either Cash Deposit or Letter of Credit, a registrar may enroll in credit card processing. To do so, the registrar must first complete the Credit Card Authorization Form available at http://credit.afilias.info and return it via fax or mail to Afilias Technical Support. Only VISA and Mastercard will be accepted
If a registrar has returned a Credit Card Authorization Form, they will be provided with an auto generated Verification Number on the form. Registrars must use this number in order to process future credit card transactions. To process a transaction, the registrar can log in to the Afilias Registrar Relations portal and then click on the "Credit Card Processing" link in the left navigation bar, or go directly to http://credit.afilias.info (using the same log-in as for Afilias.info). Transactions can only be processed using VISA and Mastercard.
Yes. There is a five-day (5) period during which a registration can be cancelled. The Registrar will receive credit for those cancellations that are made within the 5-day grace period.
